This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m as well as some evenings and weekends

Job Summary:

The Event Attendant is responsible for monitoring and supporting all reservations booked through the University Conference Center and Titan Bowl & Billiards.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Set up and tear down audio visual equipment for meetings and events

·         Monitor events and meetings to ensure facilities and equipment are properly used

·         Conduct customer service in a courteous and professional manner

·         Prepare a shift report for: detailing equipment used, problems encountered, and solutions provided

·         Work with customers, departments, program advisors, food service personnel, campus police, university officials, and the Building Manager on duty to ensure that events are properly managed and controlled

·         Identify and report any malfunctions of lighting, doors, locks, plumbing systems or other facility issues to the Building Manager on duty.

·         Keep records of reservation attendance

·         Conduct inventory of audio-visual equipment at the beginning and end of each day

·         Make necessary adjustments and resets to physical layouts of event spaces

·         Refresh meeting spaces in between reservations to include vacuuming, wiping down tables, resetting linens, emptying trash

·         Contact appropriate TSU personnel in case of emergency

Maintain a strict adherence to safety procedures. Attend regularly scheduled safety meetings 

Customer Service & Collaboration:

·         Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments

Safety:

·         Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies.

·         Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence.

·         Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately

Requirements:

·         Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing

·         Must receive First Aid/CPR/AED Lay Responder Certification within 3 months of hire

Trainings:

·         Must complete:

o   Bloodborne Pathogens

o   Campus Health and Safety Requirements

o   CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program

o   Data Security and FERPA

o   Gender Equity and Title IX

o   Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)

·         within 30 days of hire

Work Environment:

·         General office environment

·         Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking around campus.

·         The working environment is generally favorable

·         Lighting and temperature are adequate

·         There are no hazardous or unpleasant work conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

·         Work is generally performed in an office environment, with standard office equipment available

Physical Demands:

·         Must be able to lift, lower, push and pull loads ranging in weight from 5-35 lbs

·         Must be able to carry loads ranging from 5-35 lbs for distances up to 20ft

·         Lifting, pushing, pulling, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, climbing, working in confined spaces, and transporting equipment
