This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m |
Job Summary: |
The UCC Clerical Assistant assists the conference center staff in the daily operations of the University Conference Center, to include providing excellent customer service, assisting with reservations and performing office tasks. |
Essential Job Functions: |
· Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries, provide general information as needed, take messages and address reservation requests · Process, reservations for student groups, on- campus, and off-campus clients using current reservation system · Produce event room layouts as needed · Advise groups and individuals of TSU policies and procedures for reservations, food services, room capacities, set-up styles, and equipment use · Produce daily and weekly reports<s> </s> · Maintain filing system · Maintain a clean and safe work environment · Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures. Attend safety meetings as scheduled · Participate in departmental and interdepartmental trainings and meetings · Provide room and event location tours to clients as needed · Other duties as assigned |
Customer Service & Collaboration: |
· Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments |
Safety: |
· Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies. · Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence. · Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately |
Requirements: |
Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing |
Trainings: |
· Must complete: o Bloodborne Pathogens o Campus Health and Safety Requirements o CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program o Data Security and FERPA o Gender Equity and Title IX o Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) o Introduction to Racial Equity Module within 30 days of hire |
Work Environment: |
· General office environment · Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking around campus · The working environment is generally favorable · Lighting and temperature are adequate · There are no hazardous or unpleasant work conditions caused by noise, dust, etc., · Work is generally performed in an office environment, with standard office equipment available The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands: |
