Position Title: Corporate Affairs Graduate Assistant 


Hourly Compensation: $17.22


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to the campus community regarding Instructionally Related Activity (IRA) programs assisting with and responding to questions regarding IRA approval, reimbursement, travel and account balances.
  • Provide support to the Corporate Affairs Manager with Board of Directors tasks, such as drafting and proofreading minutes, preparing board meeting documentation, posting agendas, scheduling speakers, etc.
  • Provide support to Student Government Advisors in drafting and posting agendas and meeting minutes for the Committees of the Board of Directors.
  • Assist with maintaining tracking systems for all Board Actions.
  • Assist with maintaining and analyzing tracking systems for all IRA transactions and requests.
  • Review, organize and prepare expenditure and reimbursement requests to ensure compliance with all university policies and procedures in preparation for final approval
  • Work with internal and campus partners to schedule meetings.
  • Assist with preparing board updates, campus updates, and board reports
  • Analyze IRA proposals
  • Assist the Corporate Affairs Manager, performing general office duties (typing, filing, faxing, photocopying, etc.). Receive and direct all visitor and telephone inquiries ensuring customer service is conducted in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and attend all safety meetings as scheduled.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education, Work Experience Requirements and Abilities:


  • B.S./ B.A. degree required
  • Must be enrolled/enrolling in a graduate degree program focusing on higher education or student affairs

Customer service experience – preferable
Prior office experience – preferable
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required

Knowledge and Abilities:
• Ability to type 35-40 wpm accurately.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to work independently and follow directions with little supervision.
• Must be able to work well with faculty, staff, students and the general public.
• Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and interests.
