$16.50 per hour

Hours:

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Job Summary:

Under supervision of the Marketing, Communications and Design Manager, the Production Assistant will assist with, proofread, and track digital and print imagery (logos, handbills, posters, social media and web graphics, video screens, signage, etc) for all of ASI and its events.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Input job orders into Basecamp project management software and set up and maintain digital files on in-house servers

·         Assist with assigning and tracking job progress to completion

·         Provide support for in-house production and installations (i.e., printing, mounting, vinyl cutting, name tag production)

·         Assist in sending jobs to print (both in-house and with third-party vendors)

·         Obtain print estimates from vendors

·         Schedule, monitor, and update electronic message boards/digital displays

·         Assist with proofreading jobs before they are sent to print

·         Provide excellent customer service to all co-workers, clients, and vendors in all phone, email, Basecamp, and in-person interactions

·         Maintain supply inventory and advise when ordering/reordering is required

·         Sustain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and attending safety meetings as scheduled

·         Other duties as assigned

Customer Service & Collaboration:

·         Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments

Safety:

·         Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies.

·         Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence.

·         Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately

Requirements:

·         Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing

·         Must have experience in Apple OSX, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

·         Experience is office/studio environment, project/office management, print or graphic design is preferred
