Position Title: Recreation Attendant 

 

Hourly Compensation: $16.00

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and assist in the enforcement of the policies and procedures of the University, Associated Students, Inc., CSUF, and Titan Recreation
  • Conduct customer service in a courteous and professional manner to customers and all other employees
  • Maintain facilities in a safe and clean condition to permit participation by members and guests
  • Monitor general operations and events to insure facilities and equipment are used properly
  • Utilize operations software to complete required checklists and monitor capacities
  • Assist with the checking in of the fitness classes
  • Assist Titan Recreation staff and Building Manager with general oversight of spaces as it pertains to cleanliness, capacity and overall functioning of the space
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining building for daily operation
  • Assist with general building comfort and cleanliness
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of machines, surfaces and equipment throughout the facility
  • Assist with laundry needs of the general operation and other Titan Recreation departments
  • Monitor and help maintain locker room and restroom cleanliness, report any deficiencies to building managers or custodial staff
  • Assist patrons as needed in the locker room to maintain adequate customer service
  • Report any malfunction of lights, doors, locks, and other building systems to Titan Recreation staff
  • Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled
  • Any other duties as assigned

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Must be enrolled student at California State University, Fullerton.

Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

  • Must be able to keep an accurate record of hours worked by clocking in and out correctly.
  • Must be able to be on time, prepared to work and adhere to department dress code.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must obtain First Aid, CPR and AED Certification within 30 days of employment
  • Required to be a Limited Mandatory Reporter and sign ASI Limited Mandatory Reporter Form
