This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m |
Job Summary: |
Under supervision of the Marketing, Communications and Design Manager, the Graphic Designer will use fundamental design principles to create digital and print imagery (logos, handbills, posters, social media and web graphics, video screens, signage, etc) for all of ASI and its events. |
Essential Job Functions: |
· Conceptualize and pitch cohesive marketing campaigns. · Produce in-house printed displays and vinyl signage. · Provide quality, professional, friendly, and courteous customer service with everyone. · Other duties as assigned |
Customer Service & Collaboration: |
· Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments |
Safety: |
· Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies. · Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence. · Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately |
Requirements: |
· Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing · Minimum 2 years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign · Must have skills in graphic art (layout, typography, color theory, etc) · Must be able to present a portfolio or examples of graphic artwork for review |
Trainings: |
· Must complete: o Bloodborne Pathogens o Campus Health and Safety Requirements o CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program o Data Security and FERPA o Gender Equity and Title IX o Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) within 30 days of hire |
