This is a part-time (Maximum 20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 20 hours/week is not guaranteed. |
Job Summary: |
Under supervision of the Member Services Coordinator, the Lead Front Desk Attendant assists in the general operations of the SRC front desk. |
Essential Job Functions: |
· Answer telephone, walk-in inquiries, and emails regarding programs and services offered in the Student Recreation Center, and respond to general inquiries · Obtain an extensive knowledge of SRC Memberships, Fusion Sales, Calendar, Access, Invoices, and Reports · Assist in relaying accounting reports to the Accounting Department · Assist Member Services Coordinator in the hiring process by participating in interviews for new Front Desk Attendants · Assist Member Services Coordinator in the scheduling and implementation of training for the Front Desk staff · Ensure all Front Desk policies and procedures are being followed by completing PMD reports and encouraging staff to abide by all policies/procedures · Lead by example by consistently adhering to all company policies and procedures, setting a high standard for team conduct and performance. · Assist Member Services Coordinator in leading monthly Front Desk Attendant staff meetings · Send out weekly policy updates, reminders, and event information to ensure Front Desk Attendants and Operations staff are up to date · Contact SRC members via email and phone regarding equipment violations · Keep track of equipment and sales inventory; and ensure all equipment , promotional items, and inventory is maintained · Meet weekly with Member Services Coordinator to discuss weekly job tasks, and help create/update training materials for student staff. · Lead and participate in committee meetings that plan and execute SRC events and training days · Lead the Outreach Team that will participate in all tabling events · Any additional duties or projects as assigned · Pass and conduct safety and job knowledge skill checks with the Front Desk staff · Be willing to perform Front Desk Attendant job duties and work Front Desk shifts as needed · Communicate in a timely manner with the Member Service Coordinator of any urgent issues and or if any supplies or resources are needed at the front Desk · Collaborate with other Front Desk Leads, SRC staff, ASI staff, CSUF staff, and the Member Service Coordinator on projects/tasks · Assist with membership cancellations, and compile refund details · Assist with monthly billing by contacting patrons and leaving notes on their files · Assist customers in trouble shooting their account and or other membership inquiries |
Customer Service & Collaboration: |
· Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments · Greet all SRC members and guests with a smile and assist them in timely manner while providing excellent customer service |
Safety: |
· Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies. · Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence. · Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately |
Requirements: |
Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing |
Trainings: |
· Must complete: o Bloodborne Pathogens o Campus Health and Safety Requirements o CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program o Data Security and FERPA o Gender Equity and Title IX o Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) o First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days of hire |
