Job Summary: |
The Martial Arts Studio Attendant will serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness and wellness and is responsible for ensuring the uncompromised safety of all students who use the space, regardless of the members' fitness level(s) and/or experience. This position will receive direction and guidance as appropriate by the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator of the Titan Student Recreation Center (SRC). Under the supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, the Student Martial Arts Studio Attendant is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Student Recreation Center Martial Arts Studio. Completes routine tasks and provides instruction to patrons, ensuring safe use of the facility. |

· Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments |
Safety: |
· Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies. · Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence. · Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately |
Requirements: |
Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing |
Trainings: |
· Must complete within 30 days of hire: o Bloodborne Pathogens o Campus Health and Safety Requirements o CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program o Data Security and FERPA o Gender Equity and Title IX o Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) o Introduction to Racial Equity Module o First Aid/CPR/AED Certification |
Work Environment: |
· Work is typically performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. · Tasks require a variety of physical activities, generally involving muscular strain related to walking, stooping, sitting, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs · Many functions of the work pose high degree of hazard uncertainty. · Continuous use of motor skills
