This is a part-time (20 hours/week), position with expected hours to be worked during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m |
Job Summary: |
Under minimal supervision, the Student Programmer will provide programming support to the Manager, Student Programs. These responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of materials to programs and events for the department, administration of the programs, supporting the ASI Student programs, supporting the street team programs, and other clerical and programmatic support functions, as necessary. |
Essential Job Functions: |
· Assisting students, departments in planning, coordinating, and executing successful events · Attends and monitors ASI events to ensure safety and to mitigate risk · As directed, facilitate student leadership training and development for student leaders throughout the year · Apply program policies and procedures, Review financial paperwork and proposals · Appropriately apply ASI and University policies and procedures · Facilitate and encourage cross‐collaboration among ASI programming groups provide guidance · Maintains and publicizes calendar of student events and activities · Other duties as assigned |
Customer Service & Collaboration: |
· Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments |
Safety: |
· Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies. · Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence. · Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately |
Requirements: |
· Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing · Experience in event and programming is preferred · Experience in promotions and/or public relations is preferred

Trainings: |
· Must complete: o Bloodborne Pathogens o Campus Health and Safety Requirements o CSU’S Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program o Data Security and FERPA o Gender Equity and Title IX o Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) within 30 days of hire |
Work Environment: |
· General office environment · Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking around campus. · The working environment is generally favorable · Lighting and temperature are adequate · There are no hazardous or unpleasant work conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. · Work is generally performed in an office environment, with standard office equipment available
